Hey how's everyone in the audio life lol. First time posting. Just trying to get info. How are those Phoenix Gold woofers. The Octane R12d to be exact. Ive own many types of sub, but never PG. I jusst retired my Orion XTR-PRO 12". They were some great sub. Why im asking for info cuz my cousin bought me a pair of 12". I have a Phoenix Gold Tantrum 1200.1. thanks for your time.

Phoenix Gold makes great subwoofers. They have great sounding and very strong rubber surrounds. I have seen one with the rubber surround damaged by flying objects in the truck. Even tough the surround was shaved thin, they still worked great for many years. This was an older model don’t have much experience with the newer Octane R12d. I did take a look at them, I wouldn’t recommend using them with the PG Tantrum 1200.1 amplifier. The amplifier is too much power for these subwoofers.
